Yes, No Bins

Investigating perception and the abstract aspect of knowledge, Yes, No Bins (2007) is a new print rooted in the experiential. Etching plates record the correct and incorrect positioning of the recycling bins at University of British Columbia, as instructed in signage about the campus.  The work suggests some humour in the developed world’s over-developed sensitivities whereby even the precise positioning of a dustbin takes on obsessive and incantatory importance.

Yes, No Bins, (2007) was produced during 2007 residency at University of British Columbia, Printmedia Research Centre Vancouver, Canada
